What I Took With Me For Winter Break?

Hello everyone,
So I'm having winter break... finally! Though one week is already gone, it's still nice to have some time off. I can't get myself together to actually do some work now, which is pretty bad, as I have so much homework and studying to do. Anyways I was on holidays with my family for a week to the mountains, the weather was amazing and I thought I would do a post about what beauty products I took there with me. It's not everything, but here are just the things that I believe are most interesting.

Let's start with some close ups...

Eau Thermale Avene Cicalfate Repair Cream - When I had like really bad skin earlier last year I want to a pharmacy, where a lady said it's very good product, when you have blemishes or spots that need to be 'repaired' as they are sore/red. I started to use this and after few days/week the redness is gone and the spots or blemishes are healing. I use this whenever my skin is getting worse and I just put a bigger amount on the spots in the evening. It's greasy so don't use it before applying make-up and I think the best time to put it is in the evening but also try not to go do bed right after putting it on. After all I love this cream and it's already my second tube, also it lasts for a very long time.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O - I wrote about this in my July Favourites. I have done through like five or even more bottles of this and I'm not going to stop using it. It's just the best product ever!

Tony&Guy Heat Protection Mist - It's my second bottle also a love product that I can't live without. I wrote about this in my August Favourites  so you can go and have a look and read something more about it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume - I have a love hate relationship with this product, because I do love the Batiste Dry Shampoo's, so I decided to try this XXL Volume one, because it sounded very interesting and on the second day when I'm bored and I just don't want to wash my hair I wanted to use this and... well it does the job to give volume and make my hair look fresh, also I really like the smell, but it leaves my hair very dry, not very nice to touch and unhealthy. I've tried different methods to use this but I doesn't really work, so what I do is I spray it on my hair from a long distance and only at the roots of my hair in the top to give it more volume, even if I just washed my hair and I need volume.

Eau Thermale Avene Clean-Ac - I have been using this for a while now, when I was going for holidays I didn't take the full size bottle and I had the sample one that was just prefect for the whole week. I use this before applying make-up, it's for oily, blemish prone skin so prefect for me and it's quite hydrating for the day. I'm not like a big fan of this, but it's not bad. I'm still looking for a good moisturizer.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion -  I recently discovered this product and I'm quite happy about it. It's very good for moisturizing in the day or night, it makes your skin softer and healthy looking. I use this every night and in the morning my face is not dried out. I just started using it and I bought the full size bottle which is huge so it will definitely be with me for a long time.

LaRoche - Posay Toleriane Teint Foundation in number 10 - I have been using this foundation for a very long time, it's a medium to high coverage, the sade is a bit too dark for me but other then that it's aright. I wrote about it in my September Favourites so go and have a look.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder in 52 - Also a great bronzer, probably better for spring/summer but whatever! Wrote about it in my November Favorites.

Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Mascara - Love this mascara as you may know if you were reading my blog for a while, I wrote about this in my July Favourites and December & January Favourites .

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm - Recently bought it as I finally was in the stores in Poland, really like it, my lips are soft and moisturized after it, the smell is very nice. Definitely going to buy different ones in the future.

Rimmel Scandalise Eyeliner & Avon Long Lasting Black Eyeliner - yeah I know both are eyeliners, but I'm still trying to get use to the end of the Rimmel one so I took two just in case. About the Rimmel one I wrote in my December & January Favourites   and about the Avon one I have never wrote because just recently I got into black eyeliner and the winked look on my eyes. It's a very good eyeliner, it's easy to use and stays on for a very long time.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer and Stay Matt Powder. - Love both the concealer and the powder wrote about them in my previous posts. The concealer is now one of my favourites and I wrote about it last weeks post December & January Favourites  and about the Stay Matt Powder in my August Favourites.

Catrice Defining Duo Blush in 020 Peach Sorbet - I don't use this often anymore, but I didn't really pay attention to my make-up during this holidays so I took it just to give my cheeks a bit more colour. It a bit shimmery, but it's a very light and nor very pigmented blush so it's just to put something on the cheeks when you are in a rush.

Inglot Eyeshadows - As you know I really like the Inglot eyeshadows so when I was packing I rearranged the colours to the ones I will need the most. If you want to know these colours go and have a look at my December & January Favourites for the shimmery ones and to see the number of the matt brown/gray colour go and see my November Favourites .

Rimmel Apocalipse in the colour 102 Nova ( pink one ) and 600 Nude Eclipse ( nude one ) - I really like these two lip sticks/lip stains. They are very long lasting and easy to wear and put on. The colours are very pretty and I'm thinking of buying third one in some red colour.

Essie Nail in Russian Roulette (red) and Chinchilly (gray/brown) - As some of you may know Essie are my favourites nail polishes ever and there is just nothing wrong with them. These two colours are amazing for winter and I really love wearing them, as they can change the whole outfit.

Barry M Nail Polish in Blueberry - Such a lovely colour, I know it's more for spring/winter, but I just love this colour and I wore it quite a lot recently. Barry M have very good nail polishes that last very long time and the colours are amazing.

Inglot AMC Cream Concealer in 64 and Inglot Eyeshadow Base - About the concealer I wrote quite a lot in my December & January Favourites so you can go and have a look about that, but when it comes to the eyeshadow base I'm not so sure about it. It's alright but not as I wanted it to be, my eyeshadows still crease after applying it, sometimes yes it does work, but sometimes not so I don't know why and how this can happen. What I know is that after finishing it or even during I'm going to buy a different one.

Maybelline Color Wisper  in Coral Ambition - Lovely lip balm with a little bit of pinky/peachy colour in it, great if you just need to put something on your lips.

Burberry Summer - Love this scent, and I know it's winter and I'm using a summer fragrance, but I don't car I love it. If you want to know something more about it, I did a post about my Favourites Fragrances so you can go and have a look.

Brushes - I do take quite a lot of them, but I just feel like I need them all. I still do have some left at home, but these I feel are the most important ones. I love these brushes, I love using them in the morning and I don't know what I did before using make-up brushes. You can see some of my reviews about few of these brushes in my August Favourites,  November Favourites and December & January Favourites

I hope you liked this post,  it turned out to be a bit longer then I thought.
I'm not sure if it's any different then the others ones, as in the style I'm writing, but I'm working on it.
If you have any requests, comments or questions leave them below.

  1. Really good pick of things to take with! :). I'm currently debating on whether or not to get the Zoeva 102 Brush. I also have the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I'm wondering how they compare.

  2. Thanks babe. When it comes to the brushes, I personally like the Zoeva ona a little better but it depends on my skin condition. The Real Technique one gives you a nice finish but more coverage while the Zoeva one is blending and kind of patting on the skin kind of brush. Of you know what I mean. Sometimes I use both, fist the buffing one and later the Zoeva one to really even out the foundation. The thing is that the Zoeva one blends better bit also leaves less coverage then the Real Techniques one. I'm very happy with the Zoeva one and if I where you I would buy it, it good to have two brushes for foundation depending on what look you want to achieve. Hope this helped. xxx
